“Something’s missing; it has to be different”
That thought started to gnaw at her. And then she never looked back. Cora van Ingen has been involved in the world of IT staffing and sourcing for around 20 years. Everything had already changed. Over two decades, flexible working became common practice, ICT became übercool and the call for diversity was not a fleeting buzzword but a loud cry for concrete action. In short, new ideas were bubbling up and taking off on all sides.

And yet, despite this… In this new world filled with opportunities and prospects, Cora saw a new generation of professionals floundering. Some had even ground to a halt. They had fallen victim to dated structures and stubborn misconceptions. At the same time, she spoke to companies that were trying to switch over to young talent but couldn’t find it easily. Or they were only able to attract and keep them for a short time (despite all those weekly informal meet-ups with craft beer, pizza and ping-pong contests).

The missing ingredient according to Cora? Inspiration. How can you give candidates the right guidance if you don’t know what really engages them? Or what holds them back? Well, you can’t, thinks Cora. That’s why she founded CONG – an inspiring club that assists young professionals and helps to develop their working and personal life, with a refreshing, open and rather quirky approach. Just like Cora herself.

Why do some teams do much better than others? The success of a team can’t be predicted from its composition. And teams that consult as efficiently as possible and don’t waste time chatting? They generally don’t score very well either. We believe it’s about how the team members communicate with each other. Are they really interested in each other? Do they also share their personal matters? Do they dare to throw their own crazy ideas into the group? Do they laugh a lot together? Due to their enthusiasm, do they regularly talk over each other?
